New studio

This week I've been pre occupied with many different things. Mainly experiencing how a Cafe works, how to put a rota together, what we need and don't need , health and safety bits and bobs. I have however had time to reflect on what i want out of this week, for my work and for my future. Working towards the end of year show I realise how much I want to be making things with other people, how influence comes from all my peers and opportunities are endless if I know where to look.

I'm obsessed with the windows here. I haven't had any windows which I can see out of for half a year now. My Bedroom is on the street so I don't like to open the blinds ..and the windows in my studio are tinted. This is like a whole new freedom .

I've done a lot of hand sewing. patching and helping people with their projects. My space has been used to read , talk and make art. its picked up a few things along the way. and I've decided I'll stay here for a while now.
Lets see where the weeks take me .

Andy's Flag

Today Andy Conquered a sewing challenge and I documented it. He came down to ask me a few things about making a flag out of an old pair of dungarees which once belonged to his grandad.  I like to think I have some good suggestions when it comes to sewing, but I didn't touch the sewing part, I just suggested things! Its fun to see something which had been talked about be achieved finally!
